The mission of the General Accounting unit is to maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Institution’s financial records. This responsibility requires that transactions are recorded into the Institution’s accounting system in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting policies of the Institution and rules established by applicable authoritative bodies. In addition we are charged with providing timely and reliable service and guidance to all areas of the Institution and it’s constituencies as it pertains to accounting, financial reporting and internal control functions.
